General Purpose Compute (GPC) is Cloud Propeller’s 3rd generation enterprise Virtual Data Center platform, engineered for steady-state production, development, and test environments where cost efficiency outweighs the need for the sheer raw performance of next-generation compute. It runs on 3.4 GHz Intel® Xeon® Gold 6246R CPUs, DDR4 ECC memory, and all-flash HPE Alletra NVMe storage over iSCSI, delivering consistent behavior for general-purpose workloads. Each host is equipped with 40G networking, and no clusters are provisioned beyond 50% utilization, ensuring ample headroom and complete insulation from noisy-neighbor interference.
